About Dina Food Processing, a subsidiary of Dina Gezahegne Import and Export, is an Ethiopian business situated in the East Shoa Zone of Melkasa Town, Oromiya Regional Government, 7 kilometers from Adama Town, and 107 kilometers from Addis Abeba. The 200 million Birr company founded by Mr. Dina Gezahegne began operating a flour mill in 2019 with a daily production capacity of 820 quintals on 10,000 square meters of land. Since then, it has expanded to 30,000 square meters with the goal of producing additional food items such as maize flour, pasta, macaroni, and biscuits. The company now has more than 115 employees and is run by professionals with motivation and experience. DINA ANIMAL FEED PROCESSING

Dina Investment holdings has also engaged in animal feed processing plant on July 29, 2021, in under the name of “Dina Gezahgn Tadesse” registered as trade license no. AKK/AA/665/6726491/2013. The factory is located in the heart of Addis Ababa, Akaki Kality Sub city, woreda 05 H.No. New. The processing plant rests on vast of 3,000 sqm plot of land and envisages production capacity of 120 tons quintals of assorted animal feed per day. The total investment of the factory is about Birr 50 million of which Birr 27 million is the cost of working capital Furthermore, the plant has created employment opportunities for about 30 persons. The plant uses the local raw materials as the main ingredients of the products. Only 2.5% raw material is foreign input. Therefore, it creates forward and backward linkages to the food processing plant and different sectors of the economy. As we put exerted effort to enhance the feed quality, we managed to gain
great achievement in this area. As a result, our product acceptance by the customers is highly improved. Consequently, the sales performance of the plant is getting increased at increasing rate since its establishment.

What do we produce?

We produce high quality of feed for Layers, Broilers, Dairy, Fattening and Shoat species based on customers’ demand. Just like humans, animals need the appropriate nutrients to stay healthy and provide a higher yield for your farm. Our Livestock & poultry feed is consists of Vitamins, Proteins, Carbohydrates, Water, Minerals, & Fats that play an important role in the animal’s health and well-being. We assure that if you feed our product to your cattle & poultry you will gain a maximum yield.

For layer species, we have five types of feed (layer starter Layer rearing, pullet, layer phase 1 and layer phase 2). And Broiler species, we have three types of feed (broiler starter, broiler grower and broiler finisher).
For lactating dairy animals, we produce dairy super, dairy excellent and dairy basic feeds.
For fattening animals, we produce beef fattening super and beef fattening local feed items.

The concentrate feed is produced in different structural forms like mash, Crumble and pellet.

DINA IMPORT EXPORT

Our company, Dina Gezahgn Taddesse has been engaged in the Import- Export business sector for over 10 years. Both Import-Export and food processing operation is located in the Eastern area of the country. Under Dina investment Holdings we have been able to create job opportunity for over 234 permanent employees. The founder of the firm, Dina Gezahegn Taddese, began his business in 1996 by trading sugar cane in the eastern zone area of Ethiopia. Gradually Dina’s business stretched to sheep & livestock trading in the domestic market. In 2012 the initiator of the business further expands his business to livestock export which found to be fruitful that generate a significant amount of foreign currency to the country. After all his effort Dina becomes successful and recognized as one of the major livestock exporter in Ethiopia. Our main livestock export destinations are Middle East countries. To some extent the company also exports soya bean & coffee bean. In the past five years and nine months, demand for livestock’s has tremendously increased on the amount that we are able to supply. Consequently our export performance is also increased for last five years & nine months with the total revenue of USD 11,799,568.00. Besides, the company also engage in the importation of heavy duty truck and tyres business. part of a business diversification Dina has expanded to Food Processing plant which is recognized as producer of wheat flour. The food processing plant was established in 2019 with the investment capital of birr 200,000,000.00 registered under the License no. ”MT/AA/1/0016709/2004” in the trade name of “Dina Food Processing plant “which Is Located 107 Km far From Addis Ababa and 7 Km far From Adama in Awash Melkassa, East Shoa Zone, and Oromia Region. The road from Addis Ababa (Capital City of Ethiopia) to Adam is expressway. The first expressway in Ethiopia & East Africa, it is also the first toll in road in the nation.

Dina beer distribution

Dina Gezahegn is also involved in the distribution and sales industry. One of the sectors is dina gezahegn beer distribution and sales, which was founded on August 28, 2021 G.C. with an initial investment of 17,000,000 birr and a territory that included the town of Adama and its surrounding . The business currently employs 46 permanent workers and uses 7 sales trucks for distribution. United Beverage S.C. Ethiopia and Dina Gezahegn Beer Distribution have agreed to serve as agent for anbesaa and wallin beers in the territory of Adama and its surroundings.
